Sparkle into New Year

OPI have teamed up with the Muppets this christmas, with lots of glitter your sure to sparkle all night. My personal favourite is called 'Excuse Moi!' In red with multi colour glitter, this especially looks good over a rich red base - I use Dior Vernis Red.
Why not try the crackle effect nail varnish by Barry M and OPI in a wide range of colours. I love layering the gold with a black base, or vice a versa, creating an almost leopard print effect on your nails.

Gucci, Fendi, D&G & YSL have bought beauty looks through for New Year into Spring 2012.

Strong looks this season are gorgeous red lips. Red can be tricky for some skin tones. I suggest pale tones to go for an orangey red or pinky red, olive skin can go for bright pillar-box red or a richer/autumn red and dark skin can use most red tones even the darkest of reds.

Long lashes, think sixties icon Twiggy a great look to team with red lips for a seductive look.

YSL have used the eyeliner flick, influences from the late Amy Winehouse, and a look I use myself. Products by Rimmel and Maybeline do great liquid eyeliners with a fine brush to create the perfect flick. Or why not try Maybeline's Cake eyeliner, it's a gel liner in a small pot and simply wet the brush and sweep across the lid as thin or thick as you please.

The smokey eye effect is a gorgeous look which Fendi has sent down the runway this season, using simply black and charcoal grey's or try this look with metallics, golds, deep purple's, bronze, navy, midnight blues. Blending to create a smokey effect on your top or lower lid. I swear by my No7 black eyeliner which comes with a smudge brush on the opposite end to blend the colour.

Have fun trying out these looks!
